| Back extensions are done lying face down while abdominal crunches are performed sitting face up. Both require your torso to be resting on the dual 12” L x 8” W chest/hip pads and your lower legs securely braced around the 4” adjustable and contoured foam rollers with chrome end caps. There are widely angled handles mounted beneath the chest/hip pads that aid in positioning yourself properly on the EF-4429 as well as serve as a safety feature to steady yourself should you exhaust during a workout. These are 21.75” wide to reduce undue stress on your shoulders and chest when positioning yourself. The dual chest/hip pads allow for users of various hip widths to use the unit with comfort while not sacrificing stability or functionality. The ankle pads are adjustable to 10 positions with the wing nut shaped spring-loaded pin on the rear of the unit. This will accommodate individuals of various heights or leg lengths. The EF-4429 also features a 14-gauge gauge steel frame with overall dimensions of 52” L x 29.25” W x 42.75” H. The front U bar, located beneath the chest/hip pads, angles outwards and provides additional stability to your workout while eliminating any tipping or swaying sensations. The main frame is comprised of a curved steel brace with a central crossbar, which connects to the ankle pad support tube. This unique style eliminates unneeded stress points that can occur with additional assembly locations. The ends of the U bar and T bar located beneath the ankle pads are both wrapped in thick rubber endcaps for a skid proof base. The T bar beneath the ankle pads also features freely moving transport wheels, which allow you to move the EF-4429 quickly and easily into a great workout position then quickly out of your way when the workout is complete. |
